Pausing Report Submissions

Program pausing allows programs to temporarily pause new report submissions. Automated alerts will suggest pausing report submissions if your program has reports that are failing response SLAs. This enables you to catch up on existing reports without providing a poor experience to hackers.

Note: To pause submissions you must be an admin for your program.

To pause submissions:

  1. Select Settings > Submit Report Form.
  2. Click the Pause Submissions button.

When you pause report submissions for your program, HackerOne:

  • Communicates this to potential hackers with a message notification on your program’s security page.
  • Disables the Submit Report button on your security page.

Note: Programs can re-enable submissions for their program as long as they don’t currently have reports that are failing response SLAs. For programs that don't meet response SLA limits, HackerOne may temporarily pause new report submissions. When programs paused by HackerOne address their SLA failing reports, report submissions will automatically resume.
